Haruno's first step in helping Sotomura is to try to teach her how to smile, because whenever she tries, it ends up as a scary grin. Thus begins the story of Sotomura's attempts to make new friends.

Taku, the boy with a black cat. He uses medicine that cannot be obtained through ordinary means. He is a self-proclaimed Kusuri-ya.

From the mangaka of Ai Kora and Midori no Hibi: As the title implies, the omnibus series' theme will be various stories on the undead instead of the quirky romantic comedies that have propelled his career in the past. However, the advertising promises that the series will have comedy in addition to "moving and heartrending" stories.

This series is a complete remake of the original Mao Dante, with new designs an a story slightly inspired by the anime of 2002. This time, the timespan of the story i longer, the character design is different, and all unanswered questions left when the original series was interrupted, are answered. This time, Mao Dante has a proper ending. The story is divided in four parts: Kami Ryaku Hen, Gen Ma Hen, Mado Hen, and Kami Ma Taisen Hen.
